To develop quantum sensing system for detecting neuronal electrical activities by passive measurements of weak magnetic fields, induced by ionic currents in axons.
Research will include the following activities:
- Proof of feasibility experiments in simulated environments
- Development of a prototype of such quantum sensor
- In-vitro experiments on bio-samples.
- System level integration aspects and photonic packaging
Expected results
- Solid-state spin-based magnetometer with <100pT/rtHz and high sensing bandwidth.
- System level integration processes for integrated quantum sensors.
- Detected neuronal electromagnetic signals of different biological samples.
