HEYPER

The project "HEYPER" deals with power electronics for permanent magnet drives, or more specifically with the overall efficiency of inverter-fed permanent magnet drives. HEYPER aims at optimizing the efficiency of PM drives with inverters supplied from a high-voltage grid in the lower power range from 50 to 500 W.

Project Objectives

  • Optimizing overall efficiency of an 3 phase inverter feeding a permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM)
  • Power range from 50 W to 500 W, while the operation point to be optimized will be specified by the partner
  • Monitoring of the cost tradeoff between conventional system and advanced inverter system
