- SAL Cooperative Research Project
- Title: Nanocrystalline Magnetic Materials for Efficient Power Converters
- Project Coordinator: Silicon Austria Labs GmbH (SAL)
- Project Start: November 2024
- Project Duration: until the end of October 2026
- Project Manager: Ulrich Gaier
- Technical Lead: Hubert Berger
NanoMacs

-
The project aims to explore the performance of nano-crystalline magnetics in power electronic converters.
-
The outcome will be used to establish nano-crystalline material as an alternate to traditional ferrite core material in high speed/high frequency power electronic converters.
-
Basis for future high power AFEs and galvanically isolated inverter projects.
-
Early access to a wide-spread use of nano-crystalline magnets with the advantage of less power losses and material (copper).
