Currently, manual sampling and water analyses are being carried out at various points in water networks. These are typically conducted through laboratory analyses or with portable analysis devices (e.g., specifically for Enterocokki, microbiological activity ). To ensure even more comprehensive and efficient monitoring of water quality in public water supply, the scientific foundations for the integration of an online monitoring system in the supply network should be established. Among other things, minimal maintenance effort and the possibility of continuous measurement (e.g., several times a day) are essential. The measurement system is intended to serve as an early warning system to detect potential contamination of water quality and, if necessary, to carry out additional sampling or take other measures.
Expected results
- Identification and assessment of individual relevant analytes
- Identification and assessment of suitable analytical methods that meet the requirements for an online measurement system
- Concepts for the realization of these analytical methods as an online measurement system
